Outage TXT service trial
We are trialling a new service where customers can TXT us to get information about any major electricity outage affecting their residence or business.
At this stage the trial is open to customers on our Auckland City, Manukau City and Papakura network. If your home or business is on this part of our network and you're without power, you can free text us your ICP number* to 3117. We’ll then confirm if your address is part of widespread outage.
This TXT service covers major outages, so you may need to ring 0508 VECTOR to get information on any smaller outages in your area or to report a localised fault.
We will be regularly reviewing feedback to improve the service, and we’d like to eventually make it available to customers across our entire electricity network. We’d appreciate your feedback, please email us or call 0508 VECTOR (0508 835 867).
* Your ICP number is a 15 digit code which will be listed on your power bill.
