It has been identified that a substation is required in Kaukapakapa, and Vector is currently purchasing a property in for the new substation.

 

The property is located at the intersection of Wyn Close and Kahikatea Flat Road.  Construction is expected to start in one or two years.

 

The substation will help improve the reliability and quality of the electricity supply, and provide additional capacity in the area to support future growth.  

Vector will be lodging with Rodney District Council a Notice of Requirement to Designate the site.
