Update on Planned Outages During COVID-19: Reprioritising planned maintenance

To minimise disruption to people and preserve resources and equipment, Vector is temporarily halting all planned works across its electricity and gas networks to ensure these can be appropriately prioritised during the lockdown period.

Vector can confirm there are no known issues affecting our electricity network in the Eden Terrace area of Auckland where the MediaWorks studios are located.

What caused the January CBD outage?

Vector has recently completed an investigation into the circumstances that led to a brief 48-minute power outage in pockets of Auckland’s central business district (CBD) on January 23, 2020.
