Crews are continuing work to repair the damage from the car vs power pole accident and are hoping to have power restored to by 8pm.

Vector has advised that some properties in Piha may experience power outage today as crews work to repair damage after a car hit a power pole. It is important this work is done as soon as possible as we are also under a severe weather watch. 

The pole needs to be replaced and lines rehung, requiring power to be switched off at some stages of the day. It is working with supporting generators to reduce the impacts as much as possible.
