Streetlight faults

Auckland Transport maintains streetlights above street level, and we are responsible for the lines or cables which feed supply to the lights. For urgent streetlight repairs that are not safe to people or property, call Auckland Transport on 09 355 3553.

You can report problems with streetlights with Auckland Transport if they are:

• Not working or flickering
• On during the day, not on at night or have incorrect timings
• Damaged – particularly if causing a safety hazard
• Streetlight poles have been knocked over
• A nuisance due to their position
• Obscured by trees
• Dim or outdated lights
• A need for stronger or additional lights

For non-urgent streetlight problems, please complete the Auckland Transport online form. You have the choice to either submit anonymously or create an account to receive confirmation emails and updates. 

Vector will respond to streetlight faults once Auckland Transport has assessed the fault and determined whether the issue is on the Vector network.
