Health and safety

Safety is at the core of everything we do. From managing overhead power lines, installing underground pipes and cables, or connecting fibre, we're committed to protecting our people and the communities we support.

Emergency information

Power up on safety

We all have a role to play in keeping safe around our networks, and by following the correct safety guidelines and protocols and reporting anything that might not be safe, we can help make our homes, workplaces, and communities safer for everyone.

You can do your bit by keeping your service lines maintained, including maintaining your trees around our lines as well as reporting damaged network lines and equipment to us.

Working around our overhead or underground networks?

There a number of safe working practices that you need to follow. You may need to request reference maps or a close approach consents if you're working near overhead lines. Get information on all the services and safe working practices.
