Vector Lights part of annual tech showcase

Media Releases Vector Lights

Vector Lights will create a blue and white glow around the annual celebration of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship known as Techweek.

Techweek fosters growth in the tech sector by providing the national ecosystem with a week-long opportunity for connection and cross-pollination, and an independent platform through which to amplify New Zealand’s unique and inspiring innovation stories to the world.

The event has exploded in scale since the ATEED-led, Auckland-based event started in 2016, and is now in its second year as a nationwide event, run by NZTech in conjunction with regional economic development partners across New Zealand.

Vector spokesman Richard Llewellyn says it makes sense for Vector Lights to activate for the celebration of New Zealand’s technological capability.

“Vector is an energy technology company, and the main reason we partnered with the Auckland Council group to deliver Vector Lights was to showcase new and emerging technology.

“Now Vector Lights can be used in a wider showcase of the people and ideas that are transforming New Zealand’s economy.”

ATEED General Manager Economic Development, Pam Ford, says: “As Auckland’s economic growth agency, ATEED aims to develop a thriving culture of innovation and entrepreneurship across the region.

“Techweek’18 plays a big part in telling Auckland's innovation story. We’re thrilled to be able to tell this story to a local and international audience through Vector Lights, combining Auckland’s Harbour Bridge and exciting, sustainable technology.”
